Who We Are

Collective Betterment Environmental is an independent geomorphology and aquatic-habitat consulting practice dedicated to advancing river restoration, fish passage, and watershed resilience across the Pacific Northwest. With over 30 years of experience, we help agencies, tribes, and interdisciplinary teams understand how rivers function—and how to restore them effectively.

Our work blends rigorous field science with advanced analytical tools, including drone- and lidar-based surveys, hydraulic and hydrologic modeling, GIS, remote sensing, and custom R/Python workflows. From reach-scale assessments to basin-scale strategic planning, we provide actionable geomorphic insight rooted in data, collaboration, and long-standing experience.

We see environmental work as a path toward collective betterment.
When ecosystems are cared for with intention and respect, the benefits extend beyond boundaries, supporting communities, economies, and the future we share.
